There is widespread acceptance
that SEND provision is in crisis but fierce debate surrounding ways forward. Greater
demand is being placed on a system that is complex, notoriously difficult to
navigate, and too often leaves young people without the support they need.
Following the release of the Schools
White Paper, the Sutton Trust are hosting a panel event to discuss the opportunities
and challenges surrounding the government’s proposed SEND reforms. The panel
will draw on insights from new Sutton Trust research that looks at the interaction
of socio-economic disadvantage and SEND in school admissions and outcomes.
Join us on Tuesday 24th
March for a panel discussion on accessing the SEND system and the suggested
reforms.
Date: Tuesday 24th March
Time: 8.30-10am
