Midwest Young Artists Conservatory has been built on a foundation of volunteerism. From the beginning, students, parents, faculty, and staff have all generously given their time, energy, and talents to help shape the MYAC experience. This shared spirit of commitment and community remains at the heart of our mission.
Volunteering is about more than fulfilling a requirement—it’s a chance to stay involved in your student’s musical journey, meet other families, and become part of a supportive and inspiring community. We also value the unique input and expertise parents bring. Many parents tell us that through volunteering, they’ve formed lasting friendships and found a deeper connection to the MYAC experience.
To keep this tradition strong, we ask each family to contribute a minimum of 4 volunteer hours per student per year. Volunteer opportunities will be advertised throughout the season. While we strongly encourage involvement, we understand that’s not always possible. Families who choose not to volunteer may opt to be invoiced the additional $200 tuition at the start of the season, or it will be assessed at the end of the season if volunteer hours are not completed.
Please email karendennis@mya.org with any questions regarding volunteering.
