Yakima Environmental Justice Film Series

Please Join us for our first screening of this series: Earth's Greatest Enemy directed by Abby Martin

We’re excited to launch the Yakima Environmental Justice Film Series, a new collaboration between Save Our Wild Salmon, 350 Yakima Climate Action, Washington Conservation Action, Sierra Club, and the Yakima Valley College Climate & Environment Club. Together, we hope to spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and inspire meaningful conversations about our changing environment and the solutions that can help communities adapt and thrive.

About the film:

Our first film, Earth’s Greatest Enemy, directed by Abby Martin, shines a light on an often-overlooked contributor to global pollution. Largely exempt from international climate agreements and rarely examined in mainstream coverage, the Pentagon is the world’s largest institutional polluter—producing vast carbon emissions, contaminating water, and leaving lasting impacts on landscapes worldwide.

Through powerful investigative journalism, compelling visuals, and stories from affected communities, the film invites viewers to consider the hidden environmental costs of a global military presence. Thought-provoking and eye-opening, it encourages audiences to reflect on the connections between environmental protection, global policy, and our shared future.
