About our Community Grants Program

The annual Border Trust Community Grants Program has been streamlined to allow local not-for-profit organisations to tell us about their project at any time throughout the year by completing an Expression of Interest (EoI).

This EoI approach aims to be more flexible, with six monthly reviews of EoI's received and subsequent invitations to apply in full when a source of funding becomes available.

You can submit the EoI at any time with two closing dates being:
30th August and 28th February annually.

The EoI process is simple. We require a little information about your organisation, details on the local issue you are tackling, how your organisation or project will tackle the issue, anticipated outcomes, and the amount of funding you require.

On reviewing your EoI, we may ask you for further information or details specific to your project.

Depending on demand, we may not be able to support all EoI requests, however, we will keep your project in mind as new donors and granting partners emerge.

INCOME: details of other funding (confirmed and applied for) and include in kind contributions.
EXPENDITURE: breakdown of individual line items (eg: equipment, travel, admin etc).

EVALUATION & ACQUITTAL OF THE PROJECT

All successful applicants will be required to provide an acquittal report. This will include a written report, photos and stories resulting from your project and the data we have requested you collect, being:

• How many people directly benefited

• Age

• Gender

• Cultural diversity, if relevant

• Number of hours volunteered on this project, if relevant.

We will provide a link to the online acquittal form in due course.
