Outings are led by volunteers whose role is to facilitate the meetup of participants and share educational information during the course of the activity. Volunteer leaders are not required to possess any minimum qualifications or are mandated any training ahead of leading activities. I understand there may be certain risks, hazards, and dangers associated with this event and I will follow up with the event leader to ask any questions I may have about them before beginning the outdoor event. If I am the outing leader, I will work with Wild Montana staff to address any related concerns.
I understand that outing activities may require good physical conditioning and a degree of skill and knowledge. I believe I have that good physical conditioning and the degree of skill and knowledge necessary for me to engage in these activities safely. I understand that I have responsibilities. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary. No one is forcing me to participate and I elect to participate in spite of the risks. I am voluntarily using the services of Wild Montana with full knowledge of the inherent risks, hazards, and dangers involved and hereby assume and accept any and all risks of injury or death. I understand that I am signing up for a group outing and I agree to stay with the event leader for the whole event for my safety and the safety of the group. I agree to not participate in Wild Montana activities if I have symptoms associated with COVID-19, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
Wild Montana volunteers and participants are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the outing location. I understand that participation in carpooling, ride-sharing, caravaning, or other transportation arrangements organized, facilitated, or communicated by Wild Montana or its agents, employees, volunteers, or officials is entirely voluntary. If I participate in such transportation options, I elect to participate of my own free will. I further understand that Wild Montana does not control, own, inspect, maintain, operate, or supervise the vehicles used, nor does it control the actions of drivers or passengers.
I acknowledge that Wild Montana’s activities and projects are primarily located in remote areas and often require travel on mountain roads. I further acknowledge and assume the risks associated with such travel, including vehicle accidents leading to injury or death, whether I drive myself or ride with others in any kind of arrangement. I also acknowledge that Wild Montana has no duty to keep me free from injury, damage, loss, death, or other consequence of actions while traveling to and from the Wild Montana project or activity.
Wild Montana is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for people from all backgrounds, races, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. Discrimination or harassment by any volunteer or participant is absolutely not tolerated and will result in immediate removal from an outing.
