Mission on the Move visits are designed as one-hour experiences and require adequate, safe parking and access for animal transport. Prior to scheduling, Hearts & Horses will assess your location either through a site visit or by reviewing the property via Google Maps to ensure suitability.

All visits must support participant well-being, engagement, or therapeutic goals and be thoughtfully structured to allow for safe, meaningful interaction with the animals. Partner agencies are required to have staff present at all times to support participants during the visit. Selected partners agree to ensure participant readiness and supervision and must complete required liability and photo release forms prior to participation.

Agreements:

This agreement is designed to be clear and straightforward so that all parties understand their responsibilities in helping create a safe and positive experience during a Hearts & Horses “Mission on the Move” visit.

Acknowledgment of Risk

I understand that interacting with animals, including donkeys, involves some level of risk. Donkeys may act unpredictably at times, and there is a possibility of injury or property damage. I voluntarily accept these risks for myself and for any participants under my supervision.

Responsibility for Environment and Participants

I agree to provide a safe and appropriate environment for the visit, including adequate space, safe footing, and clear boundaries for participants. I will ensure that all participants are properly supervised and follow instructions provided by Hearts & Horses staff and volunteers.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hearts & Horses, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to the donkeys’ presence or actions at the agreed upon event.

Insurance

I affirm that I carry adequate personal and/or facility liability insurance and accept sole responsibility for any incidents that may occur during the visit, including those involving the donkeys, participants or property.

Photo and Media Release (Optional)

I give permission for photos or videos taken during the visit to be used by Hearts & Horses for educational or promotional purposes

I confirm that I have read and understand this agreement. I agree to its terms and accept responsibility for maintaining a safe and respectful environment during the Hearts & Horses “Mission on the Move” visit.
