Greenville Chamber Young Professionals Pacesetters Application

Pacesetters is a cohort- based, small group mentoring program designed to connect young professionals with Greenville's most innovative and successful leaders. Pacesetters affords participants the opportunity to develop their leadership of self through training sessions, mentoring with successful leaders, and networking with other young professionals. The 2027 Pacesetters class will be divided into small groups of 8 to 10 mentees assigned to a mentor pair. The small group format allows participants to develop meaningful peer relationships with their cohort and their mentor pair for greater personal impact. Participants are expected to commit to being present at meetings and socials. To be considered, this application must be completed in full (information cannot be saved) and submitted on or before Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Competitive Pacesetters applicants have the following qualities:

Dedicated to personal and professional growth
Open to new experiences and opportunities
Willingness to be vulnerable and learn from the experiences of others
Strong interest in developing leadership abilities
Desire to strengthen network and build relationships

Expectations:

Pay the $550 tuition (which includes a year-long membership in GCYP) * For current GCYP members- 12 months will be added to your remaining GCYP membership
Complete, sign, and submit the Pacesetter's Participation Agreement
Attend all large group meetings including Opening Session/Orientation, Skill Sessions (2), Social, Service Project, and Graduation
Attend all small group meetings each month
Engage fully with your mentors and small group members

Application Process and Dates

The application must be completed in one session. Before beginning the application, we recommend you gather the information you need (updated resume and letter of reference) and compose the answers to the essay questions in a Word document (you can copy and paste them into the application). Allow yourself at least 45 minutes to complete the application. *While we love AI and think it is a great tool, we want to hear your voice!

Agreement

By initialing here, the applicant confirms that he/she agrees to the following: Pay the $550.00 tuition before January 14, 2027. The tuition includes a GCYP membership which must be current during your Pacesetters experience. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.
