We invite you to participate in
Artists Exchange: a month-long program providing emerging and early career
artists with a safe and welcoming environment for connection, feedback and
artwork critique.
Participants will be asked to ‘show
and tell’ their current work and to provide constructive critique to peers.
All sessions are small (up to eight artists) and fully online.
Sessions will be convened by Dr
Holly Arden (Flying Arts; former Director of Townsville City Galleries) and
Alison McDonald (artist based in Townsville-Gurambilbarra and winner of the
2025 Art for Life Award, Queensland Regional Art Awards).
Dates:
Monday 6, 13, 20, 27 July 2026
Times:
Morning session (10 – 11.15am) OR afternoon session (3.30 – 4.45pm). You will
attend EITHER the morning OR the afternoon group over four weeks.
Cost:
$120 current Flying Arts members / $200 non-members (Become a Member)
Suitable
for:
- Artists aged 18+
- Emerging and early career artists working
in all media
- Artists in regional and remote Queensland
- Participants who are prepared to give and
receive kind and constructive feedback about current work
How to apply:
Spaces
are limited. Please complete this application form to register your interest
and nominate your availability. One of our friendly Flying Arts staff will be
in touch to confirm your acceptance into the program.
Payment:
Full
payment will be due prior to the first session on Monday 6 July 2026.
