Leadership Greenville Class 53

Leadership Greenville is pleased to invite community service project applications from the community for the upcoming Leadership Greenville Class 53.

To be considered, this application must be completed in full (information cannot be saved) and submitted on or before Monday, July 13, 2026. Projects should be able to be completed during a Leadership Greenville class year (September 2026 - May 2027). Proposals will be reviewed to ensure that all information necessary for the decision-making process is included. Agencies and organizations may be contacted to gain clarification or additional information if needed. All project proposals will be presented to the Leadership Greenville class at their Opening Retreat in mid-September. Notifications will be communicated by Dr. Cheryl Garrison, Executive Director of the Greenville Chamber Foundation and Vice President of Talent, Education and Leadership, by the end of September.

Tips:
Leadership Greenville (LG) project proposals should address the following:

Does the project have an impact on an organization, the stakeholders/clients served, and the community?

Does the project provide the Leadership Greenville project team the opportunity to grow from the experience and participate in hands-on activities?

Will the project enable LG project team members to meet new people, experience a new environment, and learn to manage a project?

In addition, a successful LG project proposal considers the following:

  • A definite objective that can be achieved in approximately 6 - 9 months but is flexible enough to be adjusted if needed.
  • The deliverable may change, may take longer or may not be realistic; the path will become clear because of open communication during the process
  • Strategic impact for the organization and its bottom line
  • Does not focus exclusively on fundraising. While fundraising may be a part of the project, team members are not to serve as development personnel
