Youth leadership is not a future state — it is happening right now.
Join YW Boston, our FYRE program, and
More than Words for a half-day convening centered on uplifting, supporting, and learning from youth leaders — especially girls and gender-expansive youth of color shaping change in their communities every day.
This gathering will explore what it truly means to center youth voice in advocacy, education, leadership development, and community change. Together, we will examine how adults, institutions, and organizations can move beyond performative engagement toward authentic partnership, accountability, and shared power with young people.
Participants will hear from FYRE alumni and youth leaders, engage in an intergenerational panel discussion on advocacy beyond the classroom, and participate in interactive workshops designed for different audiences:
- Young people building their voice, leadership, and power
- Educators and youth workers strengthening youth engagement practices
- Advocates, organizers, and community leaders advancing intersectional youth advocacy
Whether you are a student, parent, caregiver, educator, organizer, nonprofit leader, or funder, this is an opportunity to listen, learn, and invest in the leadership already present in our communities, directly from our future leaders themselves.
