The Tahoe Rim Trail Association is thrilled to partner with PT Revolution, Tahoe’s premier hub for mountain athletes, for an interactive workshop dedicated to hiker health and longevity. Led by physical therapy and performance specialists, this session will teach you how to unlock your joint mobility, build trail resiliency, and prevent the common overuse injuries that can cut a hiking season short.
Whether you are prepping for a 165-mile thru-hike or looking to enjoy pain-free weekend strolls, this workshop will give you the practical tools to move stronger, recover faster, and conquer the elevation.
What We’ll Cover:
Hiker-Specific Mobility: Targeted stretches and active mobility drills for the hips, knees, ankles, and spine to handle uneven terrain.
Injury Prevention Tactics: How to bulletproof your joints against common trail ailments like IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, and lower back fatigue.
Pack-Loading & Posture: Quick tips on how your physical biomechanics change when carrying weight and how to adjust for maximum efficiency.
Active Demos: Come ready to move! Experts will guide you through simple exercises you can add to your pre-hike routine or do right at the trailhead.
