Join the OUTscouts for an overnight camping trip! This trip will look a little different because it will be a Core Group trip!

The Core Group of OUTscouts are a group of campers who are interested in learning more about how to trip plan, create educational workshops, and share their outdoor knowledge with other OUTscouts. On this trip, expect to give input on types of outdoor programs you'd like to see and what you would like to learn as a Core Group member. 

For this trip, we will be camping in a designated camping area, meaning we will be in a less remote location on designated forest service land intended for recreating. We will have access to a bathroom and running water!

Preference will be given to youth who have previously attended an OUTscouts trip before. Youth who have not been on a trip with us but have demonstrable experience/knowledge will be considered on a case by case basis.

Feeling rusty on your outdoors skill since your last trip with us? Don't worry! We will have lots of opportunities to practice skills such as camp cooking, campfire building, tent set up, etc.

When: September 19th - 21st

Previous OUTscouts experience preferred

No gear? No worries! We have loaner gear available for folks who need it! Please let us know what you need and we'll source from our existing inventory!

For ages 18-24

Limited space! - there are 10 spots available

We'll meet at the Youth Center the morning of September 19th and return on September 21st. Transportation will be provided from the Youth Center. A more detailed timeline and packing list will be shared with everyone who is accepted to come!

We will enjoy varying levels of activity and terrain. This includes engaging in various outdoor camping activities. On this trip, we will be hiking a short 3 mile loop as well as spending lots of time enjoying the beautiful greenery that the Prescott area has to offer.

Folks who apply before September 1st, will be considered early applications and will be notified the following week of acceptance. Folks applying after this date will be accepted on a rolling basis until all spots are filled. Those on the waitlist will be notified, so if you have the option to leave your schedule open, spots may become available closer to the trip date!
