Agenda:
- Training: To New Heights: Building Inclusivity Through Narrative Change. Part of TNOYS’ Pathways for Addressing Cross-Systems Topics (PACT) Series, this training will explore narrative change, best practices to amplify the voices of youth and young adults, and strategies for organizations to strengthen their storytelling and messaging.
- Mixer for Momentum Networking Lunch. Join us for a networking lunch to learn about TNOYS’ work and upcoming opportunities to grow your impact.
- Cross-Systems Capacity Conversations. Utilizing lessons learned from youth, young adults, and providers, TNOYS facilitators will lead conversations on improving services for young people experiencing or vulnerable to homelessness, with topics that include cross-systems collaborations among foster care, juvenile justice, education, workforce, health, and commercial sexual exploitation victim/survivor services to prevent homelessness, youth-focused Coordinated Entry, data sharing with HMIS, and more. Description: Developed thanks to support from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), this event is part of ongoing work to build capacity for stronger, more coordinated systems of care for youth and young adults (YYA) experiencing or vulnerable to homelessness.
Who Should Attend?
We hope to convene a range of stakeholders from Waco and surrounding communities! This includes those with professional experience in one or more of TNOYS’ seven system areas: child welfare, health and behavioral health, justice, housing and homelessness services, survivor services and preventing/ addressing Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Youth (CSEY), education, and higher education/workforce. We encourage you to register and spread the word among your networks.
