Intro to Unity Game Design M/W

  • Unity Fundamentals: Gain a solid foundation in Unity, one of the most powerful and versatile game development platforms. Learn how to navigate the Unity interface, import assets, and create a VR-ready project.
  • Creating Immersive Environments: Delve into the art of world-building and scene design. Understand the principles of scale, proportion, and lighting to craft believable VR environments.
  • Introduction to C# Scripting: Explore some neat features with C# scripting in Unity. Try out custom interactions using the physics engine to add realism to your VR experiences!
  • Industry Insights: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the ever-evolving VR landscape!

  • Python basics: Learn the foundations of the Python programming language — variables, loops, functions, and more.
  • Hands-on coding activities: Build mini-projects you can add to your portfolio as you go.
  • Using libraries: Explore powerful Python libraries to level up your projects and make your code more efficient.
  • Chatbots & real-world tools: Try out building simple chatbots and other interactive programs.
  • Group final project: Work with classmates to create a polished final project and present it at Demo Day at the end of the semester.

  • HTML & CSS: Create the structure of a website and style is using modern design practices.
  • UX & UI Design: Learn how to make your site visually appealing, functional, and accessible.
  • Prototyping: Use Figma to draft and iterate on your design before turning it into a real website
