Critical Conversations Series (IN-PERSON & ONLINE)

Critical Conversations for Jewish Education is a series exploring how the challenges most alive in America affect children, teens, and families. Together we will explore nonviolent communication, democracy and antisemitism, and share resources as we consider how to help each other, and our learners, have the critical conversations taking place in our classrooms and communities today.
  • Aimed at: Educational leaders, teachers and administrators. Open to professionals working with learners of all ages, across educational settings.
  • Structure: A required foundational workshop that introduces nonviolent communication as a tool to address moral questions. Two workshops focused on democracy and antisemitism. You may select one or both upon registration. A closing lunch and learn workshop will complete the series.
  • Format and timeline: In-person and online options. Sessions run from August 2026 to January 2027.
  • Cost: $218 for the whole series or $144 per workshop for participants from Bay Area organizations. The cost rises to $260 for the whole series or $170 per workshop for non-Bay Area organizations.
