In addition to offering funding, we want to use our wider resources including our people, networks, and reputation, to help influence change.

Capacity-building for funded partners
In addition to providing grant-funding, the Trust aims to provide 'funder-plus' support to ensure that our funded partners are able to build their organisations in the longer-term and achieve their outcomes.

Equality and engaging those with 'lived experience' of inequality and injustice
The Trust has sought to embed cross-cutting themes of racial and gender justice and engaging those with lived experience of inequality and injustice into its programmes and we are keen to do more.

Accountability, feedback and learning
The power dynamics between funder / grant-holder can make it hard (at times) to get good quality, critical feedback on how funders operate and their future direction. We want to ensure the flow of communication and feedback between the Trust and our funded partners and those closest to the issues we seek to address is as good as it can be.

We'd like to undertake more learning activities in collaboration with funded partners and the wider sector (e.g. speaking more regularly about the state of the sector, hurdles to impact and where the Trust could be supporting sector efforts in areas close to our mission).
