Course Description

This three-day course is an introduction to computer-aided design using Fusion 360. You'll learn to navigate the software, create 2D sketches, turn them into 3D models, and use the core modeling tools that make up most CAD workflows. By the end of the class, you'll apply those skills to make a real work project and will be creating it on a 3D printer. You'll get to take the project home with you at the end of the class. This will give you the skill and confidence to make and create your own designs on your own in the future.

Skills Covered:

  • CAD Fusion 360 Navigation
  • 2D Sketch Creation and Geometric Constraints
  • 3D Part Modeling and Feature Creation
  • Assembly Design and Component Relationships
  • Technical Drawing Creation and Dimensioning
  • Design Modification, Revision, and Best Practices
