Essay. Essays should be between 500 - 510 words. The font should be Times New Roman and the essay should be double spaced. The first paragraph should provide an introduction of the essay, followed by two - three paragraphs supporting the introduction paragraph, followed by a conclusionary paragraph. Essays submitted below the 500-word requirement will be deemed an incomplete application. Essay must be in a Word Document format. AI used to create the essay will be REJECTED! We are not accepting emailed essays or pictures of the essay. IT MUST BE IN A WORD or PDF Format. Topic: As you prepare to participate in the HBCU College Tour, reflect on what you hope to learn, experience, and understand about Historically Black Colleges and Universities. In a 500‑word essay, describe why visiting HBCU campuses matters to you at this point in your educational journey. Consider what you already know about HBCUs, what you are curious to explore, and how this tour might influence your goals for college, career, and personal growth. Finally, explain how experiencing the history, culture, and community of HBCUs may shape the kind of student you aspire to become and the impact you hope to make in the future.

To participate in the Investing In My Future HBCU Tour 2027, I understand that It will be my sole financial responsibility to provide $500.00 for expenses to cover the cost of the tour for my child. This is a nonrefundable fee. I further understand that acceptable forms of payment are cash/money orders/credit card (processing fee will apply).
