Welcome Educators
Introduction to FieldSTEM is an online course designed for K–12 educators who are interested in integrating outdoor, place-based learning into their instruction. Participants will learn about the benefits of outdoor learning for students, and how the FieldSTEM model can support them in connecting their current content with local issues.
Through a combination of case studies, tasks, and personal reflection, participants will develop the knowledge and skills needed to create meaningful FieldSTEM experiences for their students. By the end of the course, educators will have a solid foundation in the principles and practices of FieldSTEM, and be prepared to bring this engaging and effective approach to their own classrooms.
