AMSI Summer School 2027 - AMSI Travel Grant - Application Form (Flights and Travel)

AMSI is pleased to partner with UNSW to host AMSI Summer School 2027 from 11 January to 5 February at their Kensington Campus, and online.

AMSI Travel Grants support mathematical sciences students at AMSI Member Universities to build and extend their skills and professional networks by providing full or partial travel support to participate in the AMSI Summer School 2027 in Sydney. 

Accommodation funding remains available via the AMSI Summer School program application form; flight and other travel support must be requested via the form below.

Application process

  1. Complete and submit your AMSI Summer School program application (including any request for accommodation funding) and pay your program fees via the AMSI Eventbrite payment gateway.
  2. Complete and submit this flight/travel-support form. Please use the same email address for both forms.
  3. Applicants will be notified of funding outcomes by Friday 7 November.
Applications for flight/travel funding will not be considered unless the AMSI Summer School program application form has been completed and application fees paid.

Due to limited funding, the AMSI Summer School Travel Grant application process is competitive. Submitting an application for travel funding does not guarantee financial support from AMSI. Please see our

Funding is available for delegate economy return travel (flight/train/bus) from their home city to Sydney. Funding will not be granted for Ubers/Taxis, airport transfers, public transport within Sydney.



Attach a letter of support (PDF files only) from your current supervisor/program coordinator or head of department that outlines their support of your grant application and participation at Summer School, as well as outlining any other funding resources,

Attach a transcript or statement of results outlining grades received throughout your current/most recent degree. Screenshots will be accepted. PDF files only.
Note: If your supervisor, course coordinator or head of department prefers to send their letter of support directly to AMSI, they can do so by emailing coordinator_rhed@amsi.org.au. In this case, please upload a document saying your letter of support will be sent directly to AMSI. It is your responsibility to ensure that this letter is submitted on your behalf by the application deadline, 11.59pm, Sunday 25 October.
