The Summer Symphony Orchestra will meet for a week of intensive rehearsals, tutorials and workshops, culminating in a showcase concert at the Sydney Conservatorium.

Entry Guidelines
- Audition Required
- Orchestral Strings, Brass, Woodwind and Percussion
- AMEB Grade 6 to AMusA or equivalent.
- Previous large ensemble experience required. Must be having private instrumental tuition.
- Recommended ages: 14 – 18 years old
To apply for the Summer Symphony Orchestra, you must submit a short video audition of you performing a solo work of your choice. Video audition instructions will be sent to you once you submit this form. If you are not offered a place in the Summer Symphony Orchestra, you will be given the opportunity to enrol in Summer School 2027 and be placed in another ensemble. What if I am already enrolled in SYO's 2026 weekly training program or auditioning for the 2027 program?If you are already enrolled in SYO in 2026 or are auditioning for 2027, you will not need to complete an additional Summer Symphony audition.
