1. What country is this flag?
c. Sudan. A lot of Arab flags look similar because they
draw from the Arab Revolt flag of World War 1 used by Arab Nationalists against the Ottoman Empire. Sudan plunged into civil war in April 2023, forcibly displacing over 14 million people. Over 25 million suffer severe food insecurity. Anglican Aid has supported emergency relief, theological training and other projects in Sudan over the past few years.

2. Anglican Aid receives funds from what sources?
a, b, d, f & g. People whose hearts are moved by God’s Spirit give to the work of Anglican Aid. It always goes in the name of Jesus to strengthen churches in the poorest countries and transform communities both now and for eternity.

3. Anglican Aid uses the Oxford Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index as part of our strategy to focus on the poorest countries in the world. Which three of these are NOT a part of the OMP Index?
c, d, & f. Rather than considering poverty as simply a lack of money, the OMPI conceives of poverty as an experience of overlapping deprivations and seeks to show the breadth and depth of poverty in a society. According to this measure, 26 of the world’s 30 poorest countries are in Africa, and Anglican Aid is working in 12 of these countries.
