What if wellbeing is not separate from learning, but one of its foundations? In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore what happens when wellbeing moves from the margins of education to the centre of the school day. We’ll take a glimpse of the 30-minute wellbeing class delivered daily to millions of children in public schools across India, and then step inside the world’s largest randomized controlled trial on children’s wellbeing. We’ll also unpack what Labhya has learned from taking wellbeing from a classroom practice to a government-owned, system-wide intervention: what enables public school teachers to deliver it, governments to adopt it, and education systems to sustain it at scale? Together, we’ll explore what these lessons might mean for the way we design systems, support educators and think about what truly enables learning for our children.

This opportunity will be held in English, with interpretation and/or translation to Spanish, Arabic, and French.
