Dear Familia:
We invite your family to spend a weekend learning, connecting, and growing together!
The IEFL Family Leadership Conference is a bilingual, overnight weekend designed to help families strengthen their connections while gaining tools and resources to support their children and their future.
Throughout the weekend, parents/caregivers, children, and families will participate in age-appropriate and family activities focused on education, leadership, family communication, future opportunities, and community resources.
Families will leave the weekend with:
- Stronger family connections and communication
- Tools to support their children’s education and future goals
- Greater confidence as family and community leaders
- New connections with other families and the IEFL community
- Resources and opportunities to stay involved with IEFL
- Meaningful memories created together as a family
No previous experience with IEFL is necessary. This conference is an opportunity to get to know IEFL and become part of a community that can continue supporting your family beyond the weekend.
Before You Apply:
Each family will stay together in its own cabin at our conference site in Yucaipa, California. Meals, lodging, and conference programming will be provided.
Children in 5th grade and below will have a dedicated space to have fun and participate in age-appropriate activities while supervised by IEFL staff during designated portions of the conference.
Families are responsible for their own transportation to and from the conference site. If you have questions or concerns that may affect your family’s ability to participate, please contact the IEFL team.
Before applying, please know:
- The conference is a full-weekend commitment from November 20–22, 2026.
- Applications must be submitted by October 23, 2026.
- Selected families will complete an additional registration form with required emergency, health, consent, and logistical information.
- Selected families will provide immunization records for all attending family members, including Tdap and MMR, as well as information about allergies and medications.
- If selected, families will submit one $50 payment per family to secure their spot. The payment will also help cover camp insurance and a program photo.
Space is limited to 25 families, and submitting this application does not guarantee participation.
If your family is ready to connect, learn, and grow together, we invite you to apply!
Sincerely,
Dr. R.C. Heredia
