Welcome Washington Early Childhood Educators!
Many Places, Many Lives: Exploring Habitats of Washington Through Poetry and Science
**Many places. Many lives. Many reasons to get excited!**
Join us on Zoom for a **FREE, two-evening virtual teacher workshop** featuring *Habitats of Washington*, a brand-new kindergarten unit from WDFW’s Wild Washington curriculum where poetry, Washington wildlife, and science come together!
This playful, place-based unit is anchored in *Many Places, Many Lives*, a new illustrated poetry collection featuring animals that live right here in Washington. During this interactive virtual workshop, we’ll explore how poetry can open the door to science learning and spark curiosity about Washington’s habitats, the animals that call them home, and what living things need to survive.
Come explore:
* Washington animals and their habitats
* Poetry as a pathway into science
* Meaningful science and ELA connections
* Hands-on learning experiences designed for kindergarten students
