Join Denton County Friends of the Family for a special community screening of Preventable, a powerful documentary from the Battered Women’s Justice Project (BWJP) examining the deadly intersection of domestic violence and firearms.

Through real stories and expert insight, Preventable explores the risks firearms can pose in domestic violence situations - and the opportunities communities have to recognize danger, strengthen intervention, and help prevent intimate partner homicide.

Following the film, experts from BWJP, as well as survivors featured in the film will join us for a conversation about what prevention can look like in our own communities and the role each of us can play in creating greater safety for survivors and families.
