Greater MN Community Wealth Building Cohort Application

This application is for groups that want to join a community wealth building learning journey with Nexus Community Partners. We will bring together up to 10 groups from Greater Minnesota to learn, reflect, and build. Together, we will explore ways communities can grow shared ownership, local power, and long-term wealth.

From November 2026 through March 2027, groups will take part in six meetings. Each group will explore ideas, tools, and practices that can help move its community wealth building work forward.
























Here are the planned meeting dates:
  • Session 1: Nov. 30, 2026, 6:00-8:00 pm
  • Session 2: Dec. 14 or 15, 2026, 6:00-8:00 pm
  • Session 3: Jan. 19, 2027, 6:00-8:00 pm
  • Session 4: Feb. 16, 2027, 6:00-8:00 pm
  • Session 5: March 9, 2027, 6:00-8:00 pm
  • Session 6: March 31, 2027, time TBD, in-person or hybrid



Next Steps:
  • Applications are due Friday, Nov. 6, at 5:00 pm.
  • Nexus Community Partners will review all applications and share selections the week of Nov. 23.
  • Nexus Community Partners staff will select up to 10 groups for the learning journey.
  • Each selected group will receive a $7,000 stipend. The stipend can help cover time, materials, research, project work, and any travel that may be needed.
  • Our first meeting will be virtual on Monday, Nov. 30, from 6:00-8:00 PM CT. Please hold this time on your calendar.
