The ArtPride New Jersey Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has an immediate opening for a full-time Web Content & Editorial Manager to create, manage, and optimize digital content that advances the organization’s goals and engages audiences across its digital platforms.

Reporting to the Director of Programs & Services, this key staff position is responsible for content management and editorial direction for ArtPrideNJ.org and JerseyArts.com, including overseeing a team of freelance journalists and contributors. This position will work collaboratively with staff to develop and publish engaging content across the organization’s websites, blogs, podcast, and video channels while ensuring that digital content is timely, accurate, consistent, and aligned with organizational priorities.

● Serve as the assignment editor for JerseyArts.com, developing story ideas and assigning coverage to a team of freelance writers, producers, correspondents, and videographers. Edit, manage, and publish feature stories, video packages, and podcast episodes across multiple digital platforms.

● Manage content for JerseyArts.com in support of consumer-facing seasonal marketing campaigns, including creating and publishing feature content; curating event guides; soliciting event discounts; posting member events; and maintaining organizational listings.

● Work with staff to develop and implement a content and messaging calendar for ArtPrideNJ.org’s Voices from the Field blog, assigning stories to a freelance journalist(s) and publishing regular content.

● Manage and maintain ArtPrideNJ.org, regularly reviewing and updating website content to ensure information is current, accurate, and relevant. Collaborate with staff to develop and publish new content as needed.

● Coordinate content for ArtPride New Jersey and Discover Jersey Arts branded YouTube channels, including managing the publication and organization of video content.

● Manage publication of the Jersey Arts Podcast across popular streaming platforms through publication software.

● Work with the Director of Programs & Services to identify and develop new digital content opportunities and features for both ArtPrideNJ.org and JerseyArts.com.

● Assist with website maintenance and monitoring, working with the development team to complete routine site-management tasks and address content-related issues.

● Establish and monitor content performance goals, helping to identify benchmarks and provide regular reporting and insights to measure the effectiveness of digital content.

● Stay informed about emerging digital content trends, tools, and best practices and recommend opportunities to improve ArtPride’s digital content.

● Apply SEO best practices to digital content, including optimizing website pages, feature stories, headlines, metadata, and other content elements to improve search visibility, audience discovery, and organic traffic across ArtPrideNJ.org and JerseyArts.com.

● Other duties and tasks, as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in web content production, digital publishing, editorial management, or comparable experience that demonstrates the ability to succeed in this position.

The successful candidate will have:

 ● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading abilities.

● Demonstrated experience managing and publishing digital content across multiple platforms.

● Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, highly productive environment.

● The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues, freelance contributors, and external partners.

● Experience working with online content management systems (Drupal preferred). 

          ● Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite.

● Experience with online form tools (FormAssembly preferred).

● Experience managing content through YouTube and audio streaming/podcast platforms.

Experience with audio, video, and photo editing tools; project management platforms; analytics tools; and customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus but not required.

Well-suited applicants will bring a strong interest in and passion for the arts, along with an appreciation for the role that arts and culture organizations play in their communities. Previous nonprofit experience, particularly within the arts and culture sector, is highly desirable.

Salary; Full-time Exempt; Remote

● Starting annual salary, based on experience, of $60,000 – $63,000

● Medical, dental, and vision healthcare, as well as 401(k), are available for all full-time employees

● ArtPride offers a generous paid time off package, including vacation, personal, and sick time, in addition to 13 annual holidays.

● ArtPride will provide any equipment (computers, office supplies, etc.) necessary to fulfill the job responsibilities.
