We know that there are many interpretations of the term social justice (which we will discuss more in the program!) -- for the purposes of this application, please use whatever definition of the term makes most sense to you.

Category 1: Goals

Describe your motivation for applying to the cohort and how it broadly aligns with your professional and personal goals.

How would you describe the current social justice culture of your workplace/educational institution? What do you anticipate or hope will change in yourself and for your organization as a result of your participation in this program?

Please tell us about an example of justice work at your workplace or in a different educational setting that you find inspiring and why. It can be something you’ve seen from afar, or something that you’ve been active in. Alternatively, you can share about an example from the larger world (local community or national/international).

COVID Safety

This course requires attendance at an opening in-person retreat and various additional in-person gatherings. Upon acceptance into the program, all participants will be asked to review and agree to Avodah’s COVID policies in order to participate in this program. We require that all staff, faculty, and program participants have completed a COVID-19 vaccine primary series, and have received the latest dose of a COVID-19 vaccine that has been approved, authorized, or made available pursuant to emergency authorization measures by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and/or the Department of Health and Human Services.

Accommodations will be considered for those who do not meet this expectation because of a medical condition or because of a sincerely-held religious practice or belief.
