Financial Information

If you are unsure, please go back to http://tnpatents.org/inventors and check the poverty level chart.
STOP
To qualify for Tennessee PATENTS as a "solo inventor" you must make less than 300% of the poverty rate. As such, you do not qualify for pro bono assistance through our program. We wish you all the luck with your invention.  You may want to review the resources on the USPTO site for filing pro se (on your own) https://www.uspto.gov/patents-getting-started/using-legal-services/pro-se-assistance-program
Inventor Information

We cannot accept cases where any inventor has been listed on more than 4 previous patents/pending applications unless the inventor has already assigned the patent(s) to a previous employer. You will need to demonstrate such an assignment during the intake appointment.

If you completed the online training, you will need to bring/send a copy of the confirmation to the intake for verification.
If you have not yet completed the training requirement, you will be required to complete it before placement in our program.

Only Solo Inventors may use this application. If you are not the solo inventor or 2 or more inventors will appear on the patent, you must use the Small Business/Non-Profit Application at Non-Profit/Small Business Application.
