Fee Information

License Renewals are charged the full yearly amount, regardless of when they are submitted.

The City of Sherwood business license fee is waived for businesses with a valid Metro License AND that do not reside within Sherwood City Limits.


Unless your Base Fee is waived due to having a Metro License and your business residing outside the city limits, you will be charged $6.00 for each employee working more than 20 hours per week, excluding the business owner(s). If you have no employees working more than 20 hours per week, only Business Owner(s), then enter the number Zero (0).

 
Incentives
5% reduction in total fee for each of the following that are applicable to the business.
Maximum 15% total reduction.





Home Occupation

If your business is based out of a residential dwelling unit (home, condominium, apartment, accessory dwelling unit, etc.), you may be required by the Sherwood Municipal Code Chapter 16: Sherwood Zoning and Community Development Code section 16.42 to obtain a Home Occupation Permit.

To determine if a Home Occupation Permit is needed, please call Planning Staff at (503) 925-2308 to verify if your business is exempt from applying for a Home Occupation Permit.

Applications and fee (if applicable), may be submitted in person at the Community Development Department at City Hall​ (2nd floor), 22560 SW Pine Street, email, or by mail. The home occupation permit fee is an annual fee.

PLEASE NOTE: Businesses are also required to be registered with the State of Oregon and either hold a valid City of Sherwood business license or, if qualified, claim a City license exemption.
