Capacity Building Project Application

Every day, nonprofits do the hard work of building and sustaining community. When nonprofits thrive, Memphis thrives.

At New Memphis, we are in the business of activating leaders to make change in Memphis. We do this is by connecting our program alumni and network of leaders to key opportunities to build capacity for nonprofit organizations; one specific way is through pro bono consulting.

By making professional consulting services accessible to organizations like yours, regardless of the agency's mission or size, we are enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of nonprofits.

New Memphis alumni are a dynamic group, numbering more than 3,500 and drawing from over 25 years of program cohorts. Our network of local leaders and alumni run the gamut of age, race, sector, and experience: from teachers in their 20s to C-level executives and elected officials.

Based on the needs of each project, New Memphis will match consultants with non-profit organizations creating effective working relationships with specific outcomes, measurable deliverables, and meaningful impact. Services and resources are provided with a commitment to confidentiality, transparency, adaptability, professionalism, and respectful communication to our volunteers and the non-profit agencies we serve.

Thank you for your interest in our work to inspire and develop a pipeline of civically responsible leaders to help Memphis live into its full potential.

Give Back Memphis and New Memphis joined forces in July 2023 to support local nonprofits through pro bono consulting. New Memphis has been empowering and connecting the city's leaders, inspiring them to create positive community change since 1979.
