The Musicians Mentoring in Classrooms (MMC) program is an opportunity for students to volunteer as student mentors in a Rosie's House music class.
Student mentors need to be in 8th-12th grade, and can be current or former Rosie's House students, or students from outside Rosie's House.
Student mentors will be paired with a teacher and class, and they will attend that class to assist the teacher. They may be asked to help with getting supplies or materials, or helping students with their music, or other tasks depending on the teacher's needs.
At the end of the program, the Student Mentor will receive a certificate and a letter listing the total number of community service hours they served during this program.
To become a Student Mentor, fill out the information below. A Rosie's House staff member will contact you with further questions to see if you are a good fit for the MMC program. Then you will be paired with a teacher and begin assisting in the classroom.
Rosie's House classes take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 3:30-8:00pm, and Saturdays 9:00am-1:00pm. Student mentors will be placed in one of the one-hour classes that works with their schedule as entered below.
