Manual Lathe - Course Interest Form
This interest form is for IAM District 751 and W24 members who would like to enroll in the Intro to Lathe Course offered by the Machinists Institute.

Please note: Submitting this form does not guarantee placement. Registrants will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. If space becomes available, you will be contacted by the Machinists Institute directly.

Course Description

This 80-hour course introduces students to foundational lathe operations and is a required prerequisite for the CNC Lathe course. Instruction focuses on safe setup, operation, tooling, and completion of a hands-on lathe project.

  • Tool Holding and Utilization

  • Hands-on Lathe Project

Schedule and Location
Courses are offered in morning, evening, and Saturday formats to accommodate various work shifts. Final class times will be confirmed based on interest and availability.

Class Schedule Options

  • AM Option:
    8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Schedule TBD)

  • PM Option:
    3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Schedule TBD)

  • Saturday Option:
    8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Schedule TBD)

Participants who earn a passing score will receive a certificate of completion
