Leader in Maharashtra, India!
Each Rise Up Together cohort includes 25 participants. Leaders are selected through a competitive application review and interview process. We seek diverse leaders representing different backgrounds, sectors, geographies, experiences, and perspectives.

Eligible candidates must meet the following selection
criteria:
- Be at least 18 years of age at time of training.
- Currently work in Maharashtra (any region).
- Demonstrate a commitment to advancing gender
equity in one or more of the following areas: climate, health, education, and
economic opportunity for women, girls, and gender-diverse people.
- Work with or represent socially and economically
marginalized communities, including women and girls, persons with disabilities,
ethnic or religious minorities, and other historically disadvantaged groups.
Be available to participate in a six-day in-person
training, along with four virtual sessions before and after the workshop during
November and December 2026. The in-person residential workshop is from 14-19 December (arrival and departure days are additional.) Rise Up Together will cover eligible
program-related costs, including travel, accommodation, meals, and training
materials.
- Be a founder, co-founder, staff member or a
volunteer of a nonprofit organization, civil society organization, academic or
research institution in a coordination, management, or other decision-making
role.
- Have
the support of your organization’s leadership to participate in Rise Up’s
Leadership Accelerator.
- To be eligible for
a grant, your organization must be legally registered in India and eligible to
receive funds (e.g. Society/Trust registration, 12A, 80G, and CSR-1, as
applicable). Organizations that are not registered may apply through a
registered fiscal sponsor. Government organizations are not eligible to receive
grants through this program.
- Have a working proficiency in spoken and written English and Hindi (preferred).
